Become a Peer Coach

March 22, 2018 | News

Becoming a peer coach can be empowering for staff, as they can play a leading role in helping to reduce workplace injuries.

There are three streams to the Peer Coach initiative: Provincial Violence Prevention Curriculum, Safe Client Handling and Safe Resident Handling.

Following the peer coach training, participants will be able to facilitate in their own organizations. This means more people can benefit from the training. The benefits of peer coaches:

  • access to in-house experts
  • cost-effective training
  • Empowering for staff
  • flexibility to do on-the-spot training for safe client and safe resident handling
