Injury Trends in Home Care and Community Health Support Shows Steady Decline
September 5, 2019 | News
The injury rate for SafeCare BC’s home care and community health support members continues to show a steady decline. The 2018 rate of 5 compares favourably to the rate of 7 two years ago. In addition, the number of claims and workdays lost have decreased. While has seen an increased focus on health and safety, more work is required given the injury rate is still nearly double the rate for all occupations in BC.
We will continue to work with member organizations to further reduce the injury rate and develop tools and resources, including giving them the know-how to focus on creating or enhancing their return to work/recover at work program. Learn more by checking out our injury trends infographic
