BC to Require Proof of Vaccine for Certain Spaces

August 24, 2021 | News, COVID-19

On August 23, The Province announced it will be implementing a proof of vaccination program to stop the spread of COVID-19.

With the new health order, individuals will be required to show proof of vaccination—either through a physical card or a digital copy saved on a phone—to access certain social and recreational events.

The Province will share details on how to access this card in the coming weeks.

As of September 13, at least one dose of vaccine will be required to enter certain spaces, including indoor ticketed sporting events, indoor and patio dining in restaurants, fitness centres, casinos and indoor organized events, like conferences and weddings.

By October 24, two doses will be required.
