Hearts and Hands Goes Digital Thanks to Racoopack
October 12, 2021 | News
In so many ways, the pandemic changed how we do things. And the annual Hearts and Hands conference was different. Before the world knew what COVID was, we had planned three in-person conferences in Victoria, Langley, and Kelowna (a city that had never hosted the event). But like a lot of organizations, we had to transition quickly to create a memorable event that was still rooted in the event’s guiding principles–celebrate, educate, and inspire.
We decided on a five-day digital experience that participants could access on a web-based app. After reviewing several proposals, we felt that Raccoopack Media, a Vancouver app development studio that crafts custom mobile apps, web apps, and serious games that engage audiences, was the best fit for our needs.
Last year’s Hearts and Hands was a huge success, with a record 725 participants, who liked being able to participate at a time that was convenient for them. We are working again with Raccoopack to deliver this year’s Hearts and Hands conference, which boasts the largest program in the event’s history.
Participants can register for free at www.heartsandhands.ca and then from October 18-22 can participate in a fantastic line up of short education sessions and fun, interactive activities. Raccoopack specializes in gamification that uses fun and interactivity to motivate users. Hearts and Hands participants will earn points, which are turned into entries for prizes at the end of the event. And this year we have more prizes than ever before.
The event is FREE and you can access it on your phone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer.
“We are proud to collaborate with SafeCare BC to turn Hearts and Hands into a digital experience for a second year! To us, this means that we can be a part of making it possible to continue celebrating healthcare assistants and the industry that’s working harder than ever today,
As a son of healthcare professionals, I’ve heard first-hand about the efforts and challenges faced in healthcare. Even more so in the current situation, where frontline workers are facing the unprecedented challenges of the pandemic. So personally, being able to support an amazing event like Hearts and Hands that celebrates the hardworking people of the healthcare industry allows me to support the celebration of the everyday efforts of my own parents. Let’s go Hearts and Hands 2021! We hope you enjoy the app and event.”
