Happy Holidays from the SafeCare BC Team
December 20, 2021 | News
With the start of a new year upon us, SafeCare BC wants to take this opportunity to look back at the past 12 months—and most importantly, thank you for your hard work.
The past year has been full of challenges. This isn’t anything you haven’t heard before. Whether you’re a manager, a healthcare assistant, or food service, you’ve been at the forefront of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Yet for all the challenges, you persevered. Just like in 2020, you showed the strength and dedication of the continuing care sector.
We started the year with a glimmer of hope. The vaccine rollout started with you and those you work closely with. You told us how much this meant to you, and shared your experiences, answering any questions your colleagues may have.
Speaking of sharing, a record number of you shared your health and safety innovations with us in the return of Safety Den. Taking on a digital form this year, the entertaining and educational event shows how the sector can learn from each other when we all come together.
And there’s no bigger get together in the sector than the annual Hearts and Hands celebration for healthcare assistants. In another record-breaking event, 960 of you joined us for a full week of celebration, education, and inspiration.
Looking forward to 2022, we know there is still work to do. SafeCare BC will continue to support you with new workshops, tools, resources, and more. We’re all in this together.
From the SafeCare BC team, we wish you a warm holiday season and a Happy New Year.
