I was interested in working with SafeCare BC after learning the reputable work the organization is doing for those in the care sector.
Q: What excites you about your role?
The variety of work, discovering new ways of doing things, working with an exceptional team, and knowing I am part of an organization that aligns with my values truly excites me.
Q: What was your first or most unusual job?
My first job was working at the second largest referral hospital in East Africa as a public relations officer. It was a difficult job but, I am grateful it taught me how to remain patient even in the most uncomfortable situations while providing services to clients.
Q: If given a chance, who would you be for a day?
I am a big fan of Rihanna the singer, or should I say the billionaire. It would be cool to have such a powerful voice to sing and be super-wealthy for a day.
Q: When not at work, what do you like doing in your spare time?
I like being active, so you will probably find me doing activities such as walking in nature, cycling, hiking, exercising, going to the beach, practicing yoga, etc. I also like watching movies, trying out new cuisines, learning new languages online, connecting with my family and friends, adventures and travel.
Q: What book are you currently reading?
The MOSAIC by Daniel Levin. It’s a magical book that inspires conversation around the possibilities that exist when we can see what we do not see. I do recommend it for those with curious minds out there!
Q: What did you want to be growing up?
I always wanted to be a lawyer. However, as time went by, I realized I had a passion for storytelling and pursued a career in media as a broadcast journalist.
Q: What is one thing we don’t know about you?
I am a Sudoku champion! I started solving Sudoku puzzles when I was young due to my love for numbers.
