Participate in a Flu Vaccine Research Project with SFU

March 30, 2022 | News

SafeCare BC is collaborating with Simon Fraser University on a research project intended to better understand the experiences of those working in BC’s care sector to flu vaccination. This project will inform the development of future education and training resources.

SafeCare BC and Simon Fraser University are looking for current and future workers in BC’s care sector to take part in interviews to share their thoughts and experiences regarding flu vaccination.

These interviews or focus groups will take approximately 30 – 60 minutes of your time and you will be provided with a $25 Mastercard gift card OR $25 Amazon gift card to compensate you for your time. All information will be anonymized to maintain participants’ confidentiality.

If you are interested in participating, please email Dr. Kaylee Byers at Kaylee_byers@sfu.ca and indicate whether you would prefer to participate in a one-on-one interview or in a focus group with up to three other participants. We are able to accommodate a limited number of participants so if you are interested, please respond by April 10 in order to participate.

If you have any questions about this study, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Jennifer Cannon at SafeCare BC at jcannon@safecarebc.ca or the lead investigator Dr. Kaylee Byers (Simon Fraser University) at kaylee_byers@sfu.ca.
