We Asked. You Answered. – 2022 Member Survey Results

June 27, 2022 | News

Last month, we asked you to complete our annual member survey. You responded—743 of you, to be exact.

We’d like to thank everyone who took the time to answer the survey. Your feedback—both the good and the bad—helps inform the work we do to best meet the needs of our members. It’s your opportunity to tell us the issues that are important you and your workplace. Our mission is to foster healthy and safe work environments, and it is with your insight that we are able to do so.

This year, you told us some of your top helath and safety concerns are:

  • Mental health and well-being of staff (60%)
  • Client or resident responsive behaviours towards staff (42%)
  • Injuries related to caring for residents and clients with dementia (37%)
Thirty percent of respondents also cited workplace bullying and incivility as a top health and safety concern.

We have some new resources and tools being developed to help address issues of mental wellbeing and workplace incivility. In the meantime, check out the resources on the Care for Caregivers portal, which also includes information on Care to Speak, an online chat or telephone support service for healthcare workers.
