Spotlight on new staff – Kunval Mahmood

Today we’d like to introduce you to a new member of the SafeCare BC team, Kunval Mahmood, Pandemic Response Advisor.
Kunval is passionate about supporting her community and is looking forward to helping you create a safer workplace.
You can get to know Kunval a little better by reading her answers to some of our questions below:
Q: What interested you about working at SafeCare?
Working with SafeCare gives me an opportunity to make a positive impact and support those who are supporting the most vulnerable.

Q: What excites you about your role?
This role evolves with the current needs in the sector and allows me to provide resources, support and materials in real-time to healthcare workers dealing with changing situations.

Q: What was your first, or most unusual job?
My first job was working in a mall at a retail store, folding piles and piles of t-shirts!

Q: If given a chance, who would you be for a day?
I would love to experience a day in the life of an aerospace engineer. I would love to work on or design something that could one day explore the universe.

Q: When not at work, what do you like doing in your spare time?
When I have some spare time I like to do something creative; I enjoy painting or home décor.

Q: What book are you currently reading?
I have just started reading The Paris Apartment.

Q: What did you want to be growing up?
Growing up, I thought I would be a scientist or a researcher.

Q: What is one thing we don’t know about you?
Something most people don’t know about me is that I am a huge true crime junkie. I love watching documentaries or listening to podcasts that go over unsolved crimes.
