SafeCare BC is a non-profit health and safety association for the continuing care sector in British Columbia. Our mandate is to reduce injuries among long-term care and home support workers by providing education, training, and resources across the province.
Multimedia and Content Consultant
The Multimedia and Content Consultant develops multimedia products aimed to educate those who work in the care sector. The role will use digital platforms to create visual content and animation for various media formats with the goal of transferring knowledge about workplace safety to those who work in healthcare. The Consultant will partner with members of the SafeCare BC management, communications, and innovation teams to support content creation that will enhance the existing education that SafeCare BC offers. The Multimedia Consultant will have strong communications skills and insights into trends, and best practices. They will foster a relationship-focused approach to build trust through collaboration and execution.
Note: This is an 18-month contract position, with the potential for extension.
Workplace Psychological Health and Safety Coach
The Workplace Psychological Health and Safety Coach will lead SafeCare BC’s mental health and wellbeing strategy, as it aligns with SafeCare BC’s strategic plan. The role will partner with the occupational health and safety team within SafeCare BC and the staff at the Canadian Mental Health Association to develop and promote the programs and supports that SafeCare BC delivers with the goal of enhancing the psychological health and wellness in the continuing care sector. The position will enhance the current supports that are in place through the Care for Caregivers and Care to Speak programs which are funded through the CMHA and the Ministry of Mental Health and Addictions, as well as the mental health supports delivered by SafeCare BC.
