Are you a care worker that faces the risk of violence during your work day? Do you have the tools and training needed to de-escalate unpredictable and potentially dangerous situations?
Due to COVID-19, SafeCare BC offers in-person and virtual options to meet the needs of our community. Please visit our Workshop and Events calendar for virtual options.
Injuries arising from acts of violence or aggression are one of the leading injury–types among continuing care workers. These types of situations can often be avoided or managed by using current and leading-practice violence prevention skills and techniques.
Taking a violence prevention workshop will help make you and your workplace safer!
Led by an expert health care facilitator, the Provincial Violence Prevention Curriculum, delivered by SafeCare BC, will teach you how to prevent and de-escalate potentially violent situations in the workplace and how you can protect yourself in the event of a behavioural crisis.
To register for this workshop, please visit the Learning Space and register for the February 13 session at Menno Place.
This course is an 8-hour session.
E-Learning modules are available if needed.
