Provincial Violence Prevention Curriculum Workshop

December 8 @ 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

Are you a care worker that faces the risk of violence during your work day? Do you have the tools and training needed to de-escalate unpredictable and potentially dangerous situations?

Due to COVID-19, SafeCare BC is now running the regular 8-hour virtual workshops through Zoom. However, this particular workshop is taking place at Harmony Court in Burnaby.

Injuries arising from acts of violence or aggression are one of the leading injury–types among continuing care workers. These types of situations can often be avoided or managed by using current and leading-practice violence prevention skills and techniques.

Taking a violence prevention workshop will help make you and your workplace safer!

Led by an expert health care facilitator, the Provincial Violence Prevention Curriculum, delivered by SafeCare BC, will teach you how to prevent and de-escalate potentially violent situations in the workplace and how you can protect yourself in the event of a behavioural crisis.
