Hearts and Hands

Hearts and Hands is the premier conference for healthcare assistants in British Columbia. With the goals of celebrating, educating, and inspiring, this is an event you don’t want to miss!

The 2021 Hearts and Hands will take place this year during October 18-22.

Celebrate Together

Since its inception, the Annual Hearts and Hands Conference has always been a chance to recognize and celebrate the hard work healthcare assistants do on a regular basis. With the COVID-19 pandemic, that celebration is needed now more than ever. While restrictions may prevent us from gathering in large crowds, we are happy to say Hearts and Hands will continue — in a digital form.

SafeCare BC is committed to our members’ health and safety. The digital format of the conference will not only allow us to follow the recommendations of the Provincial Health Officer, it means even more people can join in the celebration.

Stay tuned, as we’ll have more to share soon!

Last Year’s Hearts and Hands

2020 was a milestone for Hearts and Hands. Not only was it the fifth annual event, but it was also the first Hearts and Hands to use a digital format. This new format allowed us to reach more healthcare workers than ever before. Over 700 people participated in Hearts and Hands 2020!

The week-long event was hosted Certified Speaking Professional Michelle Cederberg. Michelle is truly a master of many disciplines. As an author, speaker, and coach, she holds a Masters in Kinesiology, a BA in Psychology, a specialization in Health and Exercise Psychology, is a Certified Exercise Physiologist, a Certified Professional Co-Active Life Coach, and an ORSC-Trained Team Coach.

Each day was also populated with a number of activities and presentations from fantastic speakers.
